Following the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 and 2021, it was decided that the kitchen that has served us so well for many years needed a facelift and refit to bring it in line with more recent health and safety legislation. After a number of meetings, a shortlist of 3 options were presented to the church meeting. It was decided to go with Option 2, which entailed fitting a number of new appliances (dishwasher, separate ovens and hobs, water heaters and water treatment equipment) and new cupboard doors and drawer fronts. Existing cupboard carcasses and work tops would be reused or altered for use. New tiling and flooring would finish the job off nicely.
Following a further church meeting, when the finalised plans were approved, a team from the church started work removing all the old kitchen fixtures and fittings…
